Therapy dogs visit students at Santa Maria junior high school

Students at Fesler Junior High School in Santa Maria got a chance on Monday to meet with a group of therapy dogs.

Nine therapy dog teams visited the campus during the school’s lunch periods.

The school’s counselor arranged for the visit to give both students and staff an opportunity for a little stress relief.

The program was voluntary. The students who participated gave up the recess portion of their lunch break to enjoy some time with the dogs.
